Description
One of the most overlooked methods for healing a injury is a herbal medicated plaster. One great plaster which is almost like a Dit Da Jow in a patch is called E Mei Shan. Years ago it was called Jako Kokotsu, this medicated plaster is extremely powerful and has amazing healing properties like Dit Da Jow.
If you are not familiar with what a herbal medicated plaster is, I will explain briefly. It is like a small piece of cloth and latex rubber combined and one side is saturated with a herbal liniment compound. But it is designed to be dry and have the ability to really stick. When applied it adheres like a second piece of skin and the herbal blend starts to penetrate and the healing process begins.
In order to get maximum benefit from a plaster you need to follow these three things.
1) Apply the patch to a clean dry area.
2) Make sure the center of the patch is applied over the center of the injured area. You can find the center by pressing your finger over the injured area and the most painful spot would be your center point.
3) Make sure all edges of the plaster are tight to the skin, rub the edges several times with your finger to make sure.
It Is Like Dit Da Jow On A Patch
By following these tips you will benefit from the healing power of the plaster. You will feel a nice warming of the area but it will not be burning hot, but you will notice a constant warmth it provides as the herbs penetrate the skin. As I mentioned, some of the key ingredients in Dit Da Jow are used in this plaster and the healing effects are similar. Unlike patches like Salonpas, E Mei Shan uses Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine as its main healing strategy and not just a patch that warms up the area with Methyl Salicylate. Like Dit Da jow it really works fast and you notice big improvements the first 24 hours after applying it.
Important
If you are using it on severe muscle spasms or muscle pulls use ice the first 24-48 hours after the injury then use the plaster.
If you are applying to a area with hair, you might want to shave that spot to prevent pain when removing.
I always leave the patch on until the oils from the skin loosen up the plaster then I remove it all the way. Since the plaster is like a second skin you can shower with it on without any problems.
For the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, bruises and strains.
