Description

Anhui Dieda Jiu

Anhui Dieda Jiu is the classic liniment from Anhui Province in south central China, which has been the hotbed of martial arts for centuries and located approximately 5 hours from the original Shaolin Temple in Henan Province China. If you read any of our articles on Dit Da Jow, you know that is the English version for Dieda Jiu (fall, hit, wine), the correct way it is pronounced in China. It is also referred to as Dieda Yao which translated to English means (‘fall hit liniment’). Anhui province has a long history of healing injuries with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and has some of the finest TCM hospitals and colleges there.

What Does Anhui Dieda Jiu Do?

Like most Dit Da Jow liniments, it heals trauma related injuries like bruises, contusions and sprains and takes it several steps further.

Anhui Dieda Jiu does the following:

Breaks and Dispels Blood Stasis

Activates Qi Circulation and Relieves Pain

Invigorates Blood Circulation and Breaks Up Blood Stasis

Reduces Swelling and Promotes Generation of Flesh

Strengthens Tendons and Bones

Helps with lower back and knee soreness, weakness and pain

Reduces Swelling and Pain from injuries

As you can see it is a very comprehensive liniment, yet only has 10 herbs with a higher quantity of each herb compared to other traditional Dit Da Jow formulas and falls in the neutral to mildly warm property category which is ideal for fresh injuries with swelling. Each herb pack can make anywhere from 1.75L (59oz) to 2.27L (79oz), this equates to just under a half gallon to 13 ounces more than a half gallon depending on how concentrated you want your liniment.

This formula does not contain Camphor so it has a very subtle aroma. This liniment also is the companion to the very famous and popular Dit Da Jow pills called Dieda Yao Wang pill from Anhui Province. Combining internal and external treatment is the classic method to healing injuries fast. You can use either the pills or the Anhui Dieda Jiu liniment independently of each other or together, this offers the best versatility for your personal needs. You can also purchase Anhui Dieda Jiu in 4oz glass bottles if you wish, it is always best to avoid plastic bottles when purchasing any herbal liniment to avoid contamination from plastic chemicals that can leach from the plastic into the liniment.

Anhui Dieda Jiu Preparation

Preparing Anhui Dieda Jiu can be done two ways, first you can place the herbs in a one gallon or 4 liter glass jar, add Vodka, seal and shake the jar daily for three to four weeks and then start using. If you want a more concentrated liniment then just use a 1.75 liter bottle of Vodka. If you want it less concentrated then add an additional 18 ounces.

The second method is more of an advanced method and requires extreme caution and many more steps so we will just cover the main points here, first you add your herbs in a glass pot, then add 37 ounces of vodka, heat up the pot on the stove until the liniment reaches 150 to 175 degrees, then pour that liniment only in your big jar. Repeat this a second time adding approx 22 ounces and heating the liniment as mentioned above, when it reaches the desired temperature pour the herbs and the liniment into the big jar, if you want it concentrated leave as is, if you want it less concentrated you can add 18 more ounces of Vodka. Now seal up your big jar and shake daily for a week or two and you can start to use. This method will extract the compounds from the herbs very quickly and you could start using in half the time.

In Conclusion

If you are looking for an external liniment that you can combine if you wish with an identical internal formula then Anhui Dieda Jiu is the perfect formula to choose. While either the internal or external formulas can be used independent of each other combining the two will offer a speedy healing process for the more serious trauma injury.
