Bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm Liniment

Purchasing bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniment can be of great benefit for a variety of reasons. Three of the most popular reasons we hear from our customers are the following: able to have a liniment to use while waiting for their liniment kit they have prepared to be ready to use, second reason: Wanting to try a liniment before committing to purchasing a liniment kit and third: not wanting to purchase or prepare any kit at all.

These are all great reasons, and as we have discussed throughout this website making sure you purchase the highest quality bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniment is extremely important.

The key to making a strong bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniment is “Extraction”, if you are not familiar with that term we will explain it below.

Extraction

Extraction is the separation of medicinally active portions of the plant using solvents like Vodka or Gin through standard extraction procedures (glass jar and shaking). Such extraction procedures separate the soluble plant metabolites, alkaloids and other compounds into the alcohol. The completed extraction obtained from plants is an amazing relatively complex mixture of alkaloidal constituents, compounds and metabolites.

One way to tell if the extraction process was done correctly is to look at the amount of time the herbs have been soaking in the alcohol this is called the maceration period. The longer the herbs have been soaking the stronger the liniment. All of our bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniment we sell is currently 4 years 8 months.

The second part of the extraction process we must verify is the type of alcohol and the percentage of alcohol used, technically speaking any distilled alcohol will work like Vodka, Gin, Everclear etc. The alcohol percentage should be anywhere from 40% to 60%. Any higher than that and the alcohol will evaporate to quickly when applied on the skin, not allowing the liniment to be absorbed into the dermis. Avoid any type of rubbing or isopropyl alcohol as this can be dangerous, you can read more about this HERE.

Sediment

Another important aspect in bottled liniments is the inclusion of sediment which is also referred to as the “marc” in your bottled liniment. Sediment is actual herb particles from the big jar that is conveyed to the smaller bottles when transferred. A lot of bottled Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniment sold online is strained then diluted down and bottled.

Obviously this becomes a very weak liniment and is a total waste of money. For example each bottle of liniment we sell is taken right from the big jar into the small bottle when a purchase is made, we do not have any bottles sitting around waiting for a sale. So in every bottle we sell there is the actual Marc (sediment) from the big batch that has been brewing for close to 4 years.

A good Jow should have some consistency to it not watery and not syrupy, you will notice on some liniments that you can see right thru the bottle, from one side to the other, I feel these are weak and diluted down liniments and should be avoided if at all possible.

Avoid Plastic, Buy In Glass Bottles

Always make sure your bottled liniment is in glass and NOT plastic as the plastic can leach chemicals into your liniment causing contamination of your Jow. I have seen some Dit Da Jow literally eat away the bottom of a plastic bottle, so avoid plastic bottles, nobody wants to apply unwanted chemicals on their skin.
