Dit Da Jow Absorption Time

A question often asked is how long does it take for Dit Da Jow to be absorbed (permeation) and when can it be washed off. Studies have been done on this with various liniments.Transdermal drug delivery (TDD) is a commonly used and convenient method of Dit Da Jow administration, enabling a controlled delivery (Percutaneous Absorption) of liniment to individuals with local trauma type injury, like sprains and bruises, Dit Da Jow as you are aware is liniment for external transdermal healing that is made from various herbs and macerated in alcohol for at least 30 days and agitated daily during this time.

Dit Da Jow absorption time thru the Stratum Corneum

In order for Dit Da Jow to work it must penetrate the Stratum Corneum, which is the outer layer of the skin that offers you protection from the outside to the inside of the body (See Photo Above). Once it penetrates the Stratum Corneum then into the dermis it then enters the blood stream and continues the healing process.

To find the pharmacological performance of Dit Da Jow, various alkaloids were used as a criterion to evaluate its transdermal penetration of this liniment. The permeability of alkaloids in the liniment was first observed in vitro. The distribution and concentration of alkaloids in subcutaneous tissue was determined in a dose-dependent manner in vivo. Finally, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to observe the blood concentration of  the alkaloidal contituents  after external use of the liniment.

Skin thickness varies on different parts of the body as well as if you are male or female and how old you are so finding transdermal peneration requires testing on different areas of the body with individuals of both sexes and  different ages. Ethanol at 40% alcohol was used in these various studies and experiments.

Dit Da Jow Absorption Time Results

Findings from these studies showed that the alkaloid constituents of Dit Da Jow liniment penetrated the Stratum Corneum in an average time of 30 minutes for both males and females. Testing also showed that it stayed in the blood stream for over 180 minutes when not washed off the skin and that the rate of permeation of this formula after administration would reach its highest limit within 1 hour.

Final Observations

Results from these studies show that the best Dit Da Jow absorption time is to leave on for a minimum of one hour and longer if possible, this corresponds with using Dit Da Jow as a compress as it stays on for several hours before removed. For those who need to wash off sooner consider adding additional applications at times of the day ( bedtime?) where the liniment can be left untouched. This will offer you the best healing results that Dit Da Jow offers.
