One way a medical professional can tell if the injured area is broken or fractured is by using a tuning fork. How To Get Rid Of Bruises
There are many old wives tales and old folk treatments on how to get rid of bruises, some work some do not, here are some recommendations that work. I’m sure you have heard of putting a beef steak on your black eye or applying a sliced pineapple on a bruise. While a pineapple slice might help a little due to the enzyme Bromelain which inhibits the formation of prostaglandin E2, a chemical in the body that is involved in inflammation, there are a several better ways to get rid of bruises.
Internal
Not to many people realize that bruises can also be treated Internally, fruits that are high in Bioflavionoids strengthen and heal the capillary walls making them more resistant to the blood leakage that causes bruises. Citrus fruits like oranges and mandarins fall into this category, also over the counter supplements found at your health food store carry products like Ester C, Rutin and Bioflavonoids that can be taken daily like a vitamin. These supplements will help you heal faster and make you less susceptible to bruising easily.
Chinese herbal formulas like Chinkoo and Tieh Ta Wan can be taken internally and help heal severe bruising especially internal bruising. These formulas are like taking a old Chinese bruise remedy called Die Da Jiu also known as Dit Da Jow which we will discuss further down. These Chinese herbal formulas are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) dating back well over a thousand years ago. The great news is that they work extremely well.
External
Two very simple ways to get rid of a bruise and requires nothing more than going to your kitchen. The first item that can get rid of small bruises fast is Parsley, just crush some leaves get them slightly moist and apply on the bruised area several times during the day and your small bruise will hardly be noticed the next day. Learning how to get rid of bruises requires a little knowledge on making liniments. It is not hard to learn, in fact it is very easy. Essentially making a liniment requires taking a combination of herbs crushing them with a mortar and pestle,( do not grind in a grinder) then place in a glass jar (not plastic) add some vodka or gin, then just seal up the jar and shake for two minutes. Depending on the type of herbs and the quantity, you might need to do this for a week or up to month.
Two great herbs that work wonders on bruises and the pain associated with them are Arnica and Comfrey Root. Adding two ounces of each with approx 24 ounces of alcohol makes a nice healing liniment for bruises. You can make it even better by adding Calendula and Plantain leaves. The ultimate liniment using these herbs plus others is called American Dit Da Jow .
American Dit Da Jow is a blend of 14 western herbs that include the herbs mentioned above and is made into a liniment using vodka or gin. This liniment works very well for bruises and pain. It has excellent anti inflammatory properties so it can be used for mild cases of arthritis.
Other herbs of note are St Johns Wort and Witch Hazel Root. Both of these can be prepared as a liniment and applied on a bruise.
As mentioned above when we were discussing internal remedies for bruising, Dit Da Jow was mentioned. This is a name most widely known here in the USA as a type of liniment to heal bruises and other trauma type injuries and I am talking even serious sprains and muscle tears. In China where it was first conceived thru the practice of TCM, and used extensively by the Shaolin Monks to heal injuries sustained in training and combat, it is called Die Da Jiu or Die Da Yao.
It has rapidly become the go to liniment for bruises as it has the uncanny ability to heal them so quickly you cannot even notice you had a bruise. Besides that, the pain killing effect it offers is extraordinary for an external liniment. Dit Da Jow is sold either ready made or in a kit form that you can prepare at home.
If I had to choose one liniment to use on a bruise or injury I would choose the Shaolin Dit Da Jow, it has 18 different Chinese herbs that are so unique and powerful, that when mixed together it is like a synergistic orchestra of healing. It has a cooling feel when applied and any pain seems to disappear in moments.
When dealing with a bone bruise I recommend a blend of Dit Da Jow and a liniment called Iron Palm. Iron Palm is used for healing injuries to bones, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissue. It compliments the properties of Dit Da Jow which moves energy called Qi and when used together speeds up the healing to the bruised bone.
Application
Applying a liniment can be done a variety of ways, pouring a small amount in your hand and rubbing on the bruised area is the easiest. You can also apply with a cotton ball if you want. Some people even use a roller ball applicator, it does not matter what method you use, the key is getting the area saturated and let air dry, this should be done several times a day if possible.
Bruises that are large or painful heal rapidly using a compress and the Dit Da Jow Liniment, we have a whole page dedicated to this, just click the word COMPRESS to read how to do it. In those cases you should consider using both the internal and external methods.
I hope with the above information you learned a little on how to get rid of bruises and hopefully you can utilize some of them for your own personal needs when it is necessary.
