The Ministerial Fire Soak is a HOT!!! Soak for Iron Palm practitioners. Developed in the 14th century by the famous herbal Dr. Chung, this soak was used to bring intense energy to the Lao Gong point of the hand which is called the Pericardium 8, Lao Gong means Palace of Labor and is one of the most powerful acupuncture points on the body. This protects the hands and conditions them to accept the shock from contact. It also as mentioned above brings great energy to the hands for your Iron Palm Training.

The Ministerial Fire Soak can cause the hands to be very hot, if the heat is to much then you should rinse your hands with water.

Like most soaks you should soak for 20 minutes, let your hands air dry and then apply your Iron Palm liniment and begin training.

Another benefit of the soak is that it calms the Shen or spirit of the body enabling better concentration for training.

To prepare your soak add the herbs to about a quart of water in a glass or enameled pot and heat until the water begins to boil, turn off the fire and depending on the size of your pot you can soak your hands in the pot or pour your soak into a small wash basin.
