Buying The Right Dit Da Jow or Iron Palm is Important
Striking anything repeatedly and with force in an effort to achieve Iron palm skills requires proper herbal liniments for healing and conditioning, because the amount of stress placed on the muscles and bones from the repeated traumas can cause anything from loss of movement to disfiguring calcium deposits and arthritic conditions. Because the damage must be removed immediately, the liniment or liniments used should not be left up to chance, good intentions or luck.
The same goes for getting injured and getting badly bruised or suffering a severe sprain, you need the proper liniment to heal up and reduce pain as quickly as possible. But you need the right liniment and the potency must be very strong.
Why choosing a high quality liniment is so important
The liniment one uses after a traumatizing session should be a proven liniment with the proper herbs used to prevent the damage we discussed above. If you are in need of a liniment for bruising then make sure it is 100% Dit Da Jow. If your needs are for bones, tendons and ligaments then choose an Iron Palm liniment. This is important as many liniments sold online are advertised as Dit Da Jow but they are more Iron Palm in properties and many are a combination of both when both are not not needed.
Authentic formulas are based on Chinese herbal medicine dating back over a thousand years and have a proven track record and utilize the herbal sediments from the herbs to create a powerful liniment.
Those who have purchased and prepared Iron Palm and Dit Da Jow kits from East Meets West Intl will notice the liniment in your large glass jar will always have herbal sediment at the bottom of the jar. That is very important for the strength and potency of your Dit Da Jow or Iron Palm liniment.
Generally when you buy a ready made liniment you will never see any sediment of any kind at the bottom of the bottle. Not having herbal sediment is like making a cup of tea and soaking the tea bag for a instant then drinking the tea, it will taste like water an extremely weak cup of tea. But take the teabag and put it in your mouth and take a big bite, whoa you have a very strong taste.
The herbal sediment is exactly the same. Soaking is extremely important for the potency and in extreme emergencies that sediment can be used as a very powerful poultice on a bad injury to speed up the healing.
Be Careful Buying Ready Made Dit Da Jow or Iron Palm
Liniments that are sold ready made are generally in plastic bottles. If you have read any of our articles on Dit Da Jow or Iron Palm or other articles regarding Chinese Medicine you know the plastic does not react well with the herbs and the alcohol, the plastic compounds literally leach out into the liniment, making it worthless and sometimes dangerous. Besides having no sediment which makes it weaker and then packaged in plastic, it really becomes a bad choice for your purchase, because after all we are dealing with the health and condition of your hands and other body parts that are traumatized in training or from an accident.
It would be wise in the long run to make your own liniment that you have total control of from start to finish. You will have a stronger liniment because the longer the liniment is soaking in the herbal sediment the stronger and more concentrated it becomes, this process and preparation you complete control and you know exactly the age of the liniment.
If you need to order any ready made Dit Da Jow or Iron Palm, make sure it is bottled in glass and there is herbal sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Also make sure you cannot see through the liniment when looking at the bottle and that it is somewhat dark and not clear. The clearer the liniment the weaker it is.

Each freshly prepared bottle of Authentic Dit Da Jow contains some marc(sediment).
We currently sell aged (4 year+) Authentic Dit Da Jow and Iron Palm liniments that are bottled fresh before shipping and in glass, this is a very concentrated Jow with sediment. You can order from our online store below.

-I am interested in iron palm formulas. The stronger the better. There is a closed-door black hand Jiao on another site that interests me but it is very expensive. Typically I make my own but have run low on herbs and would like to experiment (carefully) with another Jiao. What do you recommend for someone who trains 5-6 hours a day 4-5 days/week on average spending about 1.5 hrs daily just on iron body training? Thanks.
Hi Nicholas,
I sent you a email with my recommendations.
