I was asked by a long time customer what I felt would be the best 2 or 3 Chinese Patent Formulas to have handy in ones medicine cabinet in case he or his wife and kids got sick or injured.
It did not take me long to give my suggestions and I thought it would be a good idea to share my personal Top Ten Chinese Patent Formulas that everybody should have handy. With Fall fast approaching some of these formulas should be close at hand to prevent a full blown cold or flu.
What is a Chinese Patent Formula?
If you are not familiar with what a Chinese Patent Formula is, let me explain. They are herbal formulas designed to heal various symptoms at the root level. Most of these formulas date back over 600 years and have not changed since they were initially put together and prescribed to a patient, hence the term Patent Formula.
These formulas are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine aka TCM and can be used with or without acupuncture. I have been personally taking some of these formulas since the late 70’s and they do a terrific job without any side affects. They are surprisingly inexpensive and work deceptively fast.
For the most part Chinese Patent formulas are made into small sized pills some are even the size of BB’s. They are concentrated so taking with warm or hot water is suggested to speed up the breakdown and absorption by the body. Since the pills are small, the dosage is larger and more frequent, usually 3 times per day. They are best taken when the stomach is at it’s emptiest. First thing in the morning upon waking up is perfect, then 3-4 hours after lunch and the last dosage at bedtime. Depending on your schedule and lifestyle will also determine the best times to take these formulas.
My top ten formulas you should have at home or work are listed below and not in any specific order.
